Jerome
 
  1. Born in Stridon, Dalmatia between 331 and 342
  2. Educated in Rome
  3. Baptized in Rome ca. 370
  4. Became an ascetic
  5. Left Rome in 385 for Jerusalem
  6. Presided of a monastery in Jerusalem til his death in 420
  7. Wrote the Vulgate, a translation of the whole Bible into Latin
  8. Wrote many commentaries on Biblical books
  9. Dialogue against the Pegians in three books (415)
  10. On Illustrious Men written in 392 and 393, a list of ecclesiasticl writers from the apostles to his own times, with their main works
  11. Many of his letters are also preserved
